Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives
- Identify emerging market trends, industry segments, and potential clients to target for business expansion
- Build a strong pipeline of qualified leads through networking, market research, and collaboration with internal teams
- Initiate and manage strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance service offerings and market presence
- Key Account Management
- Nurture and maintain relationships with key accounts, understanding their evolving needs and challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Develop account plans and implement strategies to upsell and cross-sell services to existing clients
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing concerns and ensuring a seamless customer experience
- New Customer Acquisition
- Identify and target potential clients through research, cold-calling, attending industry events, and leveraging online platforms
- Conduct presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations to secure new business contracts.
- Develop tailored proposals and solutions that align with clients’ objectives and requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure
- Market Intelligence and Analysis
- Stay updated on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments
- Analyze market data and customer feedback to refine business development strategies
- Provide insights and recommendations to internal teams for optimizing service offerings and improving customer satisfaction
- Reporting and Performance Metrics
- Track and report key performance metrics related to business development and account management activities
- Regularly update senior management on progress, challenges, and opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus)
- Proven track record of success in business development, key account management, or sales roles within the Engineering or Consulting industry
- Strong understanding of engineering services and solutions, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or within a team
- Proficiency in Notion.so, Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in German and English
