Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough NVH assessments of vehicle systems, including powertrain, chassis, body, and interior components
- Utilize advanced NVH measurement and analysis tools to identify noise and vibration sources and paths
- Develop and implement NVH countermeasures and design recommendations to meet target NVH performance levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality, to integrate NVH considerations into all stages of vehicle development
- Lead vehicle NVH testing, both in laboratory environments and in real-world conditions, to validate designs and troubleshoot issues
- Interpret and report test results to stakeholders, providing insights and actionable recommendations
- Stay abreast of the latest NVH technology and methodologies, and apply innovative solutions to enhance vehicle NVH performance
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive NVH engineering, with a focus on vehicle-level assessments
- Proven track record in identifying and resolving NVH issues in automotive applications
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, acoustics, and vibration principles
- Experience with NVH data acquisition systems and analysis software
- Proficiency in understanding CAE tools for NVH simulation, and the application and correlation of the models and result
- Experience with sound quality analysis and psychoacoustics
- Familiarity with global NVH standards and testing protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment
